A number of guests of The Gathering have expressed interest in scuba diving in the Galápagos. We are excited to announce that special arrangements have been made for certified divers (Open Water certification through PADI, SSI, or NAUI) to extend their stay and explore some of the most exceptional diving experiences in the world.

Arrive at Ikala Galápagos Hotel
Following your visit to the Giant Tortoise Preserve, guests staying for the diving extension will transfer to the Ikala Galápagos Hotel in Puerto Ayora. Here, you can unwind with an afternoon by the open-air pool or enjoy a rejuvenating spa treatment.

Diving Excursions
Over the next two days, certified divers will embark on two dives per day at some of the Galápagos' most renowned sites, including Bartolome and Cousin Rocks, as well as Mosquera and Daphne. All dives are led by expert guides from Scuba Iguana, the premier diving specialists in the region, and include top-of-the-line equipment.

Baltra | Flights to Guayaquil
On June 27, divers will be transferred to Baltra Airport for flights to Guayaquil. The flight schedule ensures a safe interval of at least 18 hours after your final dive, in accordance with diving safety guidelines. Upon arrival in Guayaquil, you'll enjoy an overnight stay at the luxurious Hotel del Parque, with private transfers arranged for your journey home after breakfast the following day.
Scuba Extension Inclusions
3 nights at Ikala Galápagos Hotel; double/twin or single suite with breakfast • 2 diving tours, 4 total dives • Diving tours include transportation, a bilingual dive guide from the National Park Galápagos (max. 6 divers/guide, PADI instructors, max. 12 divers on board), complete dive equipment, lunch, snacks, beverages (tea, juice, water), and towel service • Transfers on June 24 and 27
Not a certified diver?
We also offer “discovery dives” for guests without certification. These introductory dives allow you to explore depths of up to 12 meters under the close supervision of experienced guides (maximum of two participants per guide). You’ll enjoy the same breathtaking dive sites as certified divers in the group. For pricing details, please contact our office.
Traveling with a non-diving companion?
We are happy to make arrangements for non-divers to stay in Puerto Ayora. Simply reach out to our office to customize your plans.

$1,495 single occupancy*
*Prices based on a minimum of 6 divers. If a traveling partner is returning to the US after the sailing, there will be an additional cost for the night in Guayaquil at Hotel del Parque. Please book this option by January 2026 in order to ensure flight booking from Baltra to Guayaquil.
